2012 Earth Hour in Paris...

March 30/2012 - 8:30-9:30 pm
Paris will switch off for an hour the outdoor lighting of more than

200
public buildings: the City Hall, the Parc des Princes, the Notre
Dame Cathedral
, the Hotel des Invalides, the Opera Garnier and
the Opera
Bastille, as well as many bridges, fountains and Parisian
squares
...
As for
the Eiffel Tower, it can't be extinguished for more than 5 mn
for security reasons.

Earth Hour 2011 created history as the world's largest ever voluntary action with
people, businesses and governments in 135 countries across every continent
coming together to celebrate an unambiguous commitment to the one thing that
unites us all - the planet.

This year, hundreds of landmarks around the world, including Washington’s National
Cathedral, Big Ben in London, the Great Wall of China and Tokyo Tower planned to dim
their lights at 8:30 p.m. local time Saturday as part of a global effort to shine a spotlight
on climate change.

prevention of global warming.
