A new sushi bar in my fief...

There was no crowd, but they had just opened tonight.

The place is pleasant, the food is fresh, the staff very kind and the menu
is classic, but their prices are competitive in this area.

[The restaurant also provides home delivery].

ID-Fun Sushi > 94, avenue Parmentier, Paris XI
you can both enter by the avenue or from the back, rue Locroy.

Many bars in the Oberkampf area are equipped with huge
tv-screens
. Tonight, the Brazilian team had had it against
the Cote d'Ivoire...

... but when - if ever, Brazil plays
the World Cup final...

the place to be will be
Le Barraçao, in Oberkampf.

For Asian Food Lovers...

Lost in the very heart of the Latin Quarter, Thao-Ly is a tiny 22/24
places
dégustation (mostly thai and viet food) that really deserves
a taste-test visit if you still don't know it.

All along the '70th it was a meeting point for film makers and
photographers. Cheap, fresh and extremely good, it still is one
of my favourite places.

Now kept by the previous manager's son - assisted by
a young cousin, this little restaurant - only known by
connoisseurs, keeps going confidentially...

My favourite thai soups : # 15 & 23
I won't tell you more, anyway everything's fine.

Tantalized ?

Eating Thai with a new hat on your head ?

Why not ? You can do it in rue Caffarelli, Paris III.

- First you go to # 8, at Axes et Soirs and try a few berets,
bibis, caps and capelines.
- Make your choice.

- Wear your hat and go just a bit farer, to # 18...

and here you are at Mme Shawn's !

Hold tight your hat, what happens next could bowl you over,
believe me... although I prefer Thao-Ly's thai soups !

Little India in Passage Brady...

This post for indian cooking lovers

The Passage Brady cuts bld. de Strasbourg
from fbg St. Denis to fbg. St. Martin
This is the section going from fbg. St. Martin to bld. de Strasbourg At Velan shop for catering,
you can find indian items miscellanea, from food to saris
When you're finished with your shopping you just cross the way,
seat down at Passage de Pondichéry and look at the menu...
... a large choice of north and south indian dishes is
just waiting for you to taste... good appetite !
all the shop are closed now,
and Brady's ready to go to bed.
Next time (asap) I'd like to try some Kerala dishes,
which is possible if you ask one day ahead by phone.

(Passage Brady - M° Chateau-d'Eau)

Last year, on November 8th, around 3am, a major fire broke out in an apartment building
overlooking the alley's glass roof. 150 firemen had a hard work until 7 in the morning.

And now, (thanks to Victor), a bit of the daily atmosphere in Brady...

Un film d'étude réalisé par Victor Dixmier sur le passage Brady : un coin d'Inde et de Pakistan
au coeur de Paris, ses restos, son épicerie de Pondichéry, sa lumière et sa somptueuse
