... I was very busy this morning - the tube draining was blocked, so I was
going to and fro with a plunger and caustic soda when, passing by the TV
in my way from the kitchen to the bathroom, I suddenly froze in front of it.
I wasn't ready to see this before my morning coffee :
The Berlusco and his fave minister in an Αρκαδία-style landscape !
(by Filippo Panseca, Art & Savonnerie exhibition - Priamar/Savona, Italy).
Be sure a little later the water was running free in the bath tube.

... the biggest earth's trash, but it is so beautiful !
Approximately 95% of the objects in these illustrations are orbital debris, not functional
satellites. The dots represent the current location of each item. The orbital debris dots
are scaled according to the image size of the graphic to optimize their visibility and are
not scaled to Earth. These images provide a good visualization of where the greatest
orbital debris populations exist.
1 - LEO images - LEO stands for low Earth orbit and is the region of space within 2,000 km of the Earth's surface.
It is the most concentrated area for orbital debris.
2 - GEO polar images - generated from a vantage point above the north pole, showing the concentrations of objects
in LEO and in the geosynchronous region.
Have a look at some recovered objects from the space and from now on protect your skull !

Alain Robert performed yesterday in Shanghai, climbing
the 420 meters/87 stories Jinmao Tower in Pudang area
and then going straight to jail on his way back to chinese
ground... the usual routine with a happy end : the police
was fair enough - with French Consulate - and released
him today.
In 1998, after climbing a tower in Tokyo he spent 5 days
in prison - instead of 20, thanks to... the French Embassy.
See on Wikipedia the international stunning deals of a man
suffering from vertigo.

Well, once upon a time young G@tto bypassed mother's permission
to go out with friends... as a spidergatto - from a 2nd floor balcony,
on a rainy eve, not bad, uh ?
On his way back, no police, no reporters, just a furious mother.

A baby sloth and his favorite environment,
from a tv reportage.
Unable to survive outside the tropical rainforests of South and Central America,
within that environment sloths are outstandingly successful creatures:
they can account for as much as half the total energy consumption
and two-thirds of the total terrestrial mammalian biomass in some areas.
Of the six living species, only one, the Maned Three-toed Sloth
(Bradypus torquatus), has a classification of "endangered" at present.
The ongoing destruction of South America's forests, however, may soon
prove a threat to other sloth species.

G@tto's fond of feline records, especially from vintage shots !
17 year old Bianca Passarge of Hamburg dresses up as a cat,
complete with furry tail, and dances on wine bottles.
[June 1958].
Her performance was based on a dream and she practiced for
eight hours every day in order to perfect her dance.

What else ? Oh, yes, the Pasłęka (Passarge is as German as Bianca)
is also a river of the north of Poland !

Everybody knows what fractals are... you just think to broccoli - you take the whole or the infinitesimal part, the structure won't change. Behind broccoli you find mathematics.

As a matter of fact, the music is from Guem's Le Serpent
(The Snake). I knew him in the 70th as the Zaka Percussion's
leader, at the American Center, and I still have pics of them
in my records.
(by Anxo)
This is the latter Guem, but I remember the former Guem acting exactly
the same... in 1978.

A successful photograph indeed !
Originally posted by a brazilian tourist to Scamorama in December 2006, this
picture (+ 2 more) made protographer Pieter Hugo decide to go to Nigeria to learn
more about the gadawan kura (hyena men, in Housa language).
He did it, met journalist Adetokunbo Abiola, together they got in touch with the hyena
men guys... and Hugo made a book.
The picture was also asked to appear as cover illustration
by some editors and was featured on the cover art of the
Gorillaz album "Demon Days" and "NO HOLIDAY-80 Places
You Don't Want to Visit", a Disinformation Travel Guide.
I stumbled across these impressive photos end of December 2006, when I was back
from Nigeria and sure I regretted I wasn't lucky enough to meet any hyenas at all.
Last week, I had a Flickr alert for someone uploaded hyenas pics, so there I went
and guess what ? It was the old Scamorama pics.
So I told the guy I already knew them and ask if he had a blog or something where
I possibly could watch them... There was no answer and the pics soon vanished from
his Flickr photostream.
Nonetheless, the picture has been uploaded by many other Flickr users :
- PeaceablePrimateSanctuary, Javaneh and Hamid, coolpictureguy, caffeineguy -
ryanclark75 and joi.
